COMBINED NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT AND INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS

On or about March 1, 2017 Rural Retreat will submit a request to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for the release of Community Development Block Grant funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974(PL 93-383), as amended, to undertake a project known as Rural Retreat Downtown Revitalization Project, for the purpose of Blight remediation through façade improvements, sidewalk improvements, demolition of blighted structures, storm water improvements, construction of a farmer’s market and commons area, with additional downtown parking.

WYTHE COUNTY TO IMPLEMENT CITIZEN EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

Wythe County’s Joint E-911 Communications Center will be implementing a citizen emergency notification system July 1, 2014.

Though the county’s E-911 center already has residents’ landline numbers, you will need to sign-up to receive emergency alerts on your mobile devices and email.

Pleased be advised that the 2015 Consumer Confidence Report for the Rural Retreat Public Water System is available at the Rural Retreat Town Office, the Rural Retreat Public Library and at www.townofruralretreat.com/notices.php.
